And One More Note for the Locals

Our friend, Chris Barton, will be at Book People tonight in Austin, showing off his new children's book,  "so fresh from the printer's press, that they haven't even had time to bind it!"

It's called "The Day Glow Brothers," and is not yet for sale, but you CAN, and should, pre-order it.

What's it about you ask? Well, in Chris' words, "you know those fluorescent oranges and yellows and greens that you see every day on traffic cones, safety vests, highlighters, and so on? A hundred years ago, those colors didn't even exist. The Day-Glo Brothers is the story of the guys who invented those colors while they were in their teens and 20s back during the Depression and World War II. It all started with a magic act and an accident at the ketchup factory…"

And get a load of these amazing illustrations...

Anyhow, like I said, he, and a whole bunch of other talented children's authors are going to be mixing it up at Book People tonight.

Since we're contagious, I kinda doubt we'll be there, but if you're in the area and germ free, you should definitely go get a jump start on your holiday shopping!
