Pistol Packin'
The boys got low heat glue guns in their stockings.
Need I tell you that my countertops will never be the same?
It's crazy addictive though, the wielding of the glue gun. We've all gotten sucked in.
On New Year's Eve, I had six kids lined up at the counter just gluin' their little hearts out. Pretty soon the kids had to fight off the adults though.
Even my big ol' rifle totin', diesel drivin' burly brother is a mean glue gun slinger. Just look what he made!
So save up all your bottle caps, wine corks, twisty ties, toilet paper tubes and what not, and bring on the glue!

Okay, so there's been some questions about the glue guns, and so I thought I'd better clarify things.
I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one out there who hadn't heard of the Low Temp Glue Gun!
I first saw one while standing at a monumentally long line at Hobby Lobby. Ever since, I've seen them ALL OVER THE PLACE - Walmart, the grocery stores, everywhere. So really, I thought this must be something the rest of the world already knew about, and I was just slow to catch on.
Anyhoo... Low heat glue guns are CHEAP (like $3-4) and small, so they're great for small hands. You have to be sure to get a bunch of the "low heat" glue sticks too.
Be warned, although they are low heat, they do pack a decent sting if you get some glue on you. It's nothing a little shake and a quick run under cold water won't fix. Each of my boys has been stung once... that's all it takes to make them real careful. Even the just-turned-four year old can handle the guns just fine.
Also... if you have a teacher supply store near you, take a look... ours had fancy glittery glue sticks and the crazy colored popsicle sticks. Our Hobby Lobby has TONS of cool wooden spools, sticks, picks and what nots too, but no glittery glue sticks. Of course.
Hope that helps!
Now get to gluin'!
